MY BOAT WILL BERTH

life is a voyage

The boat sails on waters unknown
The sails seek the wind long gone
Anchors fall in the depths of sea
Waves crash hard on me
Yet for all the winds gone by
And the tides still to come
My destination is beyond the reach
Of any voyage I have done
Standing on the deck I feel
The spray of ocean on my face
My mind is lost in depths of water
And the sails, high in might and grace
Left to ponder my solitude
I find only one thing to see
Sailing in my life’s boat
I crave for my destiny
Passing through places and times
Feeling pleasure, grief and mirth
I know one day this journey will end
One day my boat will berth.
