As It Is

A poem about how I feel towards one of my friends.

You don't know what you mean to me.
Your everything I need you to be.
Can you tell me what I mean to you?
Everything about this seems untrue.
Yet even with all this,
Your still the one I miss.

Everything just seems so mismatched.
Yet it's still hard not to get attached.
And even when we're together,
It's not enough to make up forever.
You know I hate to see you go,
but it's just the way it is, I know.

When your not with me, I keep waiting.
I just think of all that we're creating.
And when I finally see you, I call out your name.
When we're together, we are one and the same.
As it is and has been before,
I want it to be forever more.
