Forever Will I Sleep

Why do I feel so weak…
As her soft fingertips caress my cheek…
Her green eyes stare straight into my soul…
As I feel my mind spin outta control…

I hesitantly reach out to see…
If she really is in front of me…
Her soft skin is all I feel…
Can she truly be real…

I can’t truly be awake…
All of this has to be fake…
It all just has to be a dream…
So much confusion that I want to scream…

Ever so slowly she draws very near…
But all I can feel is nervousness and fear…
My heart begins to race…
As a blush forms on my face…

Her beautiful green eyes lock my gaze…
As my mind tries to traverse this hectic maze…
There is a clear desire in those green eyes…
There is no need for whose, wheres, or whys…

My mind begins to run haywire…
As my body feels like it is on fire…
Is this some sort of test…
As my heart pounds in my chest…

With all that I’m going through…
Can any part of it be true…
Can she truly be this close to a guy like me…
How can any of this truly be…

I am so dazed and confused…
My mind feels battered and bruised…
But slowly I can feel my mind clearing…
As the space between us is disappearing…

I place my hands behind me to keep from falling…
As ever closer she keeps crawling…
I feel her as she places her hands on my chest…
As I watch her body finally come to rest…

Her beautiful green eyes hold my stare…
But where she is I’m all too aware…
I can sense her body just above my hips…
As she stops just inches from my lips…

I can feel here soft body pressed into mine…
What is this newfound feeling that is so divine…
With no room left between me and her…
The world disappears in a single blur…

With out a moment to waste she pulls me into a kiss…
And with out warning I’m thrown into bliss…
Time starts to slip away…
This is a feeling I hope will stay…

If a dream is what all this turns out to be…
Then reality is something I never want to see...
For this is a dream I wish to keep…
So forever will I always sleep…
