I wrote this after my girlfriend of over two years left me.

You never know what lies behind my eyes
You never know the feelings that I hide
You don't know that I love you
All I know is that I lost you
We shared a moment of something special
I sat back and held my breath
My whole world started to crumble
All I knew is I wanted death
I now have love I will never lose
I have a path I must choose
To be alone and forgotten
Or spend my life waiting for you
I do not know what lies ahead
I know that one day I will be dead
When I leave this mortal place
I hope I leave in good grace
I want no one to cry for me
