I like this kind of poem... |
| One thousand knights cross scorching sands With darkened eye and scathing brow Twixt shifting dune with steadfast plan Toward foes at ease should God allow Where desert-spines point oft to lands Destruction will fulfill my vow. No braver knights have ever sat Alert on horseflesh so divine The kings of all the Earth once met Would fail to rise to ones so fine The princes in their grand effects Would kneel to see these knights of mine Their mission one of greatest need Defending honor of the fair Whose heart was torn, yea ripped indeed Along with life to villain's lair The princess of my soul once freed Will gaze upon such great despair. One thousand knights now reach the hills And mountains guarding that dread place Where snowy peaks the rivers fill And watch the fate of that poor race Where silent peace holds stead e'en still Until my knights retrieve her Grace. |
