I am a closed book

Sealed off to the rest of the world.

People stand and laugh as my life goes down in a swirl.

But I'll go down in a blaze of glory just like the Phoenix.

And then rise again, I can't wait till you see it.

I live a life filled with tests and trials.

But you'd never know it because I stay equipped with smiles.

I am a closed book.

Pick me up, dust me off and open me.

Read between the lines of the verses I've written so openly.

Take time, let the words accomplish their duty.

If not today, let me remain on the shelf.

For tomorrow brings the definition for myself.

I pray one day that I am read.

Either aloud or in ones head.

but until that day.

I am a closed book.
