We like to be scared

Why things are the way they are

And so

we find ourselves in a  life

of hypocrisy

where
it is embedded in our blood
and hearts and
souls


and we

contemplate
doing the right thing

maximizing our utility
both
emotionally
and physically

why do we find ourselves in a life time
of desperate souls
where we
kill

for money
and power

and title
and reputation

and desperation
illustration
of our assets

and possessions

Capitalistic ideals illuminate through our fragmented minds
in an attempt to teach our children culture

finding ourselves
lost in a shallow world

we are lost forever
in this lifeless
life



and we wish that we could count to 10

      and that we would then be found


but we want to be lost
and we like to be scared
