The poem is about a girl who has a broken heart, and is about to die. |
| The winds swirl, their billows sweep Away the sorry pains of the past, All my life I had naught to keep But unkind words and a broken heart I gaze through curtains of the foggy past Life passes by, unseen, unheard, Yet now the truth is clear at last It was all for a purpose-me and my broken heart. Night is falling, the winds are changing, The ships of life are docked at the bend. Far across the seas, white gulls are calling Beckoning me to journey's end. Life is fleeting, hard and cruel, Yet love and laughter still last. Before I lay down and sleep forever, Will anyone mend my broken heart? |
