My first Minute Poetry attempt
At night inside myself I pray
for hope to stay
and ease this ache
regret does make.

The painful words from memories past-
the bad ones cast
in anger’s heat
are what repeats.

Forgiveness comes to those who learn
to heal the burn.
I haven’t yet...
But scabs have set.
