The Beach

A day at the beach

The waves roll in
The waves roll out
The water gets thin
As children jump and shout

Lovely waters of bluish green
Sparkle in the sun
As palm trees sway so serene
And shadows move over the fun

The sand spreads out
like a beautiful quilt
With starfish,conch and sand dollar about
And sprinkles of shiny silt

I will sleep on the beach tonight
As I listen to the seas lullabye
Then wake to a morning delight
And say a sad goodbye
