Falling Angels

It happened so fast
Every minute seemed to last---
A lifetime of suffering from the past

I was filled with sadness
Never thought I'd get out of this mess
But suddenly light illuminated darkness

I saw you standing there---
In front of me, with a smile to share
Ready to show me you care

And you saved me from myself
Made me feel something I've never felt
As the snow in me began to melt

It was only your voice I could hear
Only your presence I wanted near
Because you could erase my every fear

Then I suddenly realized it all
Feelings from the bottom of my soul
As the two of us continued to fall...
