AN ANGEL'S SMILE

** Image ID #630580 Unavailable **

Oh, how I long for an angel's smile, at times,
when everything seems to be going wrong.
I want to get away from the darkness and pain
and hear the sweet music of an angel's song.

I'm sure that God has a plan ahead for me,
He wouldn't give me more than I can handle;
yet there are times when He trusts too much;
at both ends I keep trying to burn the candle.

There are times when trouble surrounds me,
there are times that the sun breaks through.
I have to concentrate on all that is good -
I guess my guardian angel will have to do.

She greets me in wee hours of the morning
and bids me a goodnight at the close of day.
There's nothing as welcome as an angel's smile
that tells me everything will soon be okay.

Oh, how I long for an angel's smile, at times,
when everything seems to be going wrong.
I want to get away from the darkness and pain
and hear the sweet music of an angel's song.
