Night Nerves

I wrote this poem for a project in English class. Please critique. This is my first post!

The silent darkness
creeps up around me
The stillness fills my ears
and head with thoughts
of today
Anxiety of tomorrow,
what it brings
But I'm just too tired
to let my mind fast-forward
so i click pause
on my mental remote control
Take a deep breath
Try to drift
and join the silence
