Short poem I wrote back in highschool...inspired by a magnet!

The Lie

"I cannot tell a lie"
Said the dog to his master
"I tried by and by
to prevent the disaster"

"I cannot tell a lie,
"for it wouldn't seem fit."
"So I will not deny,
that the cat did it!"
