A relationship poem |
| And The Angels Drowned She stood in the tide The water gently washed her feet The air was tender with her face The sun painted her hair with gold And the wind sighed angel songs But the tide changed Time changed The water was no longer content To swell about her legs The waves rolled larger Until they rolled over her She turned and twisted Beneath the force Breathing water instead of air Wind whipping salt stained skin Sun poisoning body and mind She clawed the water and sand for air Desperate for a release from the pounding His force, his weight Held her captive The water thrust her against the sand The wind tangled her hair The sun burned her face And the angels drowned Then, when she stood She looked around And wondered it this were love |
