In Between Storms


This life is filled with jagged winds,
slashing through us everyday.
Wounding, while sharing the value
of bonds we form around us.

An invisible line where blue
skies meet the unyielding Earth--
a hopeful sign of a new day,
after the menacing storm.

Love revealed that mortal trappings
don't count as much as our bonds.
And in the darkest night we shine,
together, extending light.

Let's play along the mystic web,
which binds you and me as one.
Let's face all rough winds together;
forever, weathering storms.
