A Sequel to Confessions of a Brother, If you've read C of a B you'll have to read this. |
(Update) I noticed some typos so I fixed them up. Sorry about that! This the sequel to Confessions of a brother, I wrote it on a spurr of the moment in just a couple of hours. (Mostly cause I was watching TV and writing at the same time and my Laptop's battery died on me too.) I Figured it would be "interesting" to see what would happen "If by some strange twist of fate" Inuyasha and the others came across Sesshomaru's confession from C of a B. Of course I couldn't say that Inuyasha was totally clueless as to who wrote the letter since, to him at least, there would be one obvious sign, Sesshy's scent on the letter! Well I found a way to handle that, besides, Inu wouldn't really believe that Sesshy wrote the letter... Or would he? Well enough blabber, enjoy the sequel to "Confessions of a Brother", "An Interesting Letter" and if you have anything to say then go ahead and review it, I'd like to hear some opinions. Sincerly, TigerFan. P.S. Sorry to anyone waiting on Secret Past, I'll finish it one of these days! (I think.) An Interesting Letter By TigerFan ****************************************************************************** He finished his confession and as he placed it on the ground beside him the breeze picked up and blew it away. He reached for it, but it flew out of his reach and soon out of sight. âIt wasnât important anyway.â He said to himself as he settled into sleep for the night. ****************************************************************************** Inuyasha, Kagome, Miroku, Sango and Shippo had stopped in a quiet little village nestled at the foot of a cliff for the night. The next morning while the others were finishing their breakfast Shippo came running into the little house where they had stayed with a piece of paper in his hand. âHey Kagome! Look what I found outside!â The little Kitsune said excitedly. âWhat is it Shippo?â Kagome asked. âI found a paper outside and it looks like it has crayon markings on it!â Shippo said handing Kagome the paper. âHmm, Crayon markings? Did you read it carefully Shippo, are you sure itâs crayon?â Miroku asked. âWell, I didnât really read much of it, but it looks like crayon.â Shippo said. Sango and Kagome looked at the letter. âIt looks like a confession.â Sango said. âYeah, it does, we probably shouldnât read it. it does look like it was written in crayon though.â Kagome said. âWell what does it say? If we read it we might find out whose it is and if itâs important or not.â Miroku said. âWhatâs the big deal? Itâs just a stupid paper.â Inuyasha griped. Kagome ignored Inuyasha and decided to read the letter aloud. ****************************************************************************** I know what you must think of me, selfish, cold, uncaring and with a heart of stone. Iâm sure you think that I think of you as a disgrace, a thorn in my side or a bane to my existence, but do you ever wonder if itâs true? If maybe I donât think of you that way? I know Iâve given you no reason think I care and every reason to hate me but do you really think itâs true? That I donât love you the way a brother should? Though I wouldnât say it to you or to anyone really, I do care. My heart is not made of stone as I would have so many believe. In fact, itâs as fragile as your own, and just as easily broken and bruised. I know I have no right to say these things to you after everything Iâve done to hurt you, break you and beat you down, but as I sit here, pouring my feelings out in an attempt to clear my conscience, I realize that I deeply regret all those things Iâve done and wish I could apologize, but I know that you wouldnât listen so I wonât. Not to your face but with these words I write, though you probably wonât read this. If by some strange twist of fate you find this and read it, know that I mean every word of it, and that even though Iâve said and done the very opposite, I do care about you and no matter how many times Iâve said Iâd kill you, I could never do that, the truth is youâre my brother and thought I donât show it I care about you. I know Iâve no right to try and sound like a caring older brother after everything Iâve said and done before and will likely say and do in the future but this is the truth, the honest truth. My letter, my confession, is finished now. I wonât say it out loud but I will say it with these words, Iâm truly sorry for everything, if I could take it all back I would. I love you my dear little brother. Know that itâs true, even if I never say it out loud. ****************************************************************************** âWow.â Sango said. âSounds like the guy was a real jerk to his brother and feels bad about it.â Shippo said. âYes, it sounds as though he deeply wants to apologize but believes he canât.â Miroku said. âThatâs so sad, I feel sorry for the guy. I mean, obviously heâs done some really despicable things but if heâs genuinely sorry and wants to make amends then I hope he can.â Kagome said. âHeh, Sounds like a certain jerk I know but thereâs no way heâd EVER apologize to me. He could care less about me, all he cares about is my sword and his ego.â Inuyasha remarked. âWouldnât it be interesting if Sesshomaru did try to apologize somehow, I mean look at this guy, heâs done awful things like Sesshomaru did and yet he still wishes to make amends for it. It is possible when you look at it like this.â Miroku said. âYeah, except for one thing, Sesshomaru is a demon, and this guy is probably a human. Demons like Sesshomaru donât apologize for anything, and they could do things like kill their own relatives if given a reason and they wouldnât even blink.â Inuyasha said grudgingly. The group debated about the letter for a few more minutes before Inuyasha grabbed and threw it out the window. The others got on to him for but he pointed out that apparently the guy didnât care if his brother read it or not and for all they knew he already had and apparently either lost it or chucked it himself. They agreed after thinking it over a few moments. Inuyasha then got to his feet. âCome on, weâve wasted enough time here letâs go find some more Shikon Jewel shards.â Inuyasha said as he got up and walked out the door. Inuyasha ignored the fact that he could smell what he thought might have been Sesshomaruâs scent on the letter and the fact that he could smell the scent of those âcrayonsâ or whatever they were on that letter too. He refused to believe that Sesshomaru had written that letter. âIt might have been written in that crayon stuff with some of the paper that Kagome gave to that kid but that doesnât mean HE wrote it, that kid probably dropped it or something and somebody from the village found it and wrote that stuff on it. Yeah, thatâs it. Thatâs exactly what happened Iâll bet. HE didnât write it at all, it was some human being all sappy. HE couldnât have written that, the creep doesnât even HAVE a heart, let alone a FRAGILE heart!â âAre you okay Inuyasha?â Kagome asked, breaking Inuyashaâs train of thought. âUm, yeah, Iâm fine, Iâm just waiting for you guys, youâre so slow.â Inuyasha replied with an annoyed tone. Everyone just ignored him and talked about where the next Jewel shard might be. Inuyasha and his friends left the village and as they walked Inuyashaâs thoughts traveled back to that letter. âCould Sesshomaru have really written that letter? Nah, Impossible. Besides, He wouldnât even know what the heck a crayon is for anyway, heâd probably eat it or something. Dumb dog.â ************************************The End*********************************** (F.Y.I. âThat Kidâ=Rin) |
