About an ex-boyfriend, before I met my husband, of course.
You taught me how to live
You taught me how to cry
You taught me how to give
And even how to lie.

You showed me how to move on
When all I had was suddenly gone.
You came into my life for a reason
Even if it was only for a season.

At first I didn't understand
I was trying to see through God's plan;
To figure out the truth
I needed to see proof.

Of all the things you taught me,
This is more important than the rest
What you taught me best
Was that you are not the one, and please excuse the pun
But I am WAY too good for you, and I HAVE MOVED ON!!
Now I have some advice for you, and it really works
Alcoholics Anonymous...you should look in to it.

*Angry*  This was written many years ago about the last boyfriend I had before meeting my husband.  I wrote it after a very difficult, emotional and hurtful break up.  He was downright cruel and getting this all out, at the time, really helped me through it.
