Time slips from our fingers...
Now-a-days many sit,
Around the television, computer, and games.
As time slips away.

Time, as so many people fail to realize,
Is a lightning bolt;
Seen or not it appears.

And is gone in the blink of an eye.
Flashing by with or without our realization.
Not caring if we notice or not.

And other times when failing to pass quickly,
Rolls on by, like a snail,
Moving painfully across the pavement.

But when time becomes of the essence,
We want to take a rope and drag time back in.
But time, of the essence or not,
Cannot be grasped.
