Revanch poem created for poetry Scratch Pad |
| Your eyes, unchartered oceans deep I call for air to breathe beneath the pride and lies of forty years, to know the man who loves me now. Since twelve years old I sought this truth, never deterred by seeming youth. Enough! You say, with deep embrace, I moan aloud my ancient vow. You press with strength that pulls and tears My love-struck fleshy heart. Full-long I'd watched in shade your form, and always longed your body's warmth. We lie conjoined, we lie on sides, the hush of dark encircles us, we sigh and whisper lover's thoughts, while stars are bred and born. So patient now, I'd never be to wait so long for symmetry. When break of day, tears us apart, I stay reflecting on our night, and count the time our true selves met, and know now, that I know you not. This love that longed to touch your deeps, was for myself. I fall asleep. |
