Dreams

When dreams end

Dreams don’t last forever,
even the greatest of things
must come to an end,
though hearts are broken
and pain is felt through
every bone and muscle,
though the ache of a
hollow soul feels like
too much to go on,
Though life feels empty
and not worth living
even one more day alone,
the sun still shines,
the wind still blows
and the world still turns.
