When you hold my hand or look in my eyes
The irresistible forces start
It's hard to ignore the butterflies from being near you
Or your words that go straight to my heart
I want to hold back but the forces take over
Making me want to open myself up to you
Forget all my fears because now you are here
And the things you share with me are true
Nothing ventured, nothing gained, yet I still remain
In my comfort zone where it's safe to stay
Knowing there will never be an opportunity for hurt
Or anyone to take their love away
The walls that I built up around me
Are gradually beginning to fall
Just being close to you lets me know
There are still good men after all
