It took an Angel

this is a poem about love

Let me tell you about this angel that has
Come into my life
When she came, I was lost, I did not know
What love was,
I had given up on everything and started
To fall.
My faith was gone,
My hope was gone,
The only thing I truly believed in was
Bad luck.
I felt stuck,
Then one day I prayed to God to send
Me someone that was meant just for
Me, who would have thought it would
Be an angel straight from heaven
She walked right into my world and
It has never been the same again
I thought I knew love but she showed
Me I was wrong
Love has so many faces,
But hers is the most beautiful
Face of them all
I searched for God
All my life and could not find him,
It took this wonderful, beautiful person
To show me God, I call her my angel
It took an angel to show me life,
Love and it took an angel to show
Me God,
And I want you to know I love you
Baby, Always
