14). How We Got Here

modern poetry

Given pure ideals;
Though that's how we got here,
Our actions didn't express a type of character;
Enough to follow;
To figure out a part;
A type of shared experience;
Even that was radical and old.
Good and unconnected if you think it through,
Being one.
In my free time, to the entire family decades later and after;
More of them do,
At an age and after then,
Define a change in lifestyle and expectation.
