No Place I Would Rather Be

A poem to say thank you & with Love

As I lay in bed I'm thinking
Of all that was and is
I'm trying to remember
Just why I feel like this?

I'm finding life a little hard
I want to run, I'm scared!
I'm feeling trapped inside this hurt
You make that disappear.

My days are pure confusion
And I don't know where I am.
But then you turned and smiled at me,
And took me by the hand.

I've never felt the way I do
When I'm lying in your arms,
Your lips they brush the fear away
Your heart speaks out to mine.

Of all the things within my life
I know I can be sure,
I'll never doubt the way I feel.
I shouldn't have before!

So many things, they make no sense.
With you it all seems clear.
There's no place I would rather be
Than loving you right here.
