Messenger

An (over rhymed) rhyme for a friend named Angel that unexpectedly called to comfort me.

A messenger came to me,
drawing me in, not to flee
Beautiful and glowing radiant light,
glorious flame illuminating the night
A golden hue radiates from you,
illumination sincere and so true

Good tidings you do bring,
delivered to me on wing,
A flight unexpected this night,
carried my soul to new height
Envoy of "Spirits to Lift,"
giving me a precious gift

Smile erupting from my face,
thank you for loving grace
First happiness known this day,
sadness you keep at bay
Knowing naught of this thing,
shear delight you still bring

Magical wonder that you are,
transforming mood from so far
Words delivered with tender care,
demonstrating a concern so rare
Luminous being light showing through, 
peace brought from the blue

Effortlessly the dark you remove,
frame of mind you improve
From the gloomy into the light,
indebted to you this night
Soul resting serene most peaceful,
You so unique, my Angel
