draft of a war poem
It's an open altercation
Between a nation and a nation
While darkened eyes stand immutably
Being graded on gratuity
As the bombs we sling drive us to debt
Incipient degree of a catastrophic mess

Intemperate with patriotism
They fiend upon the lies they're given
Then indefatigably and step by step
They march in a plain of insurgence
And insipidly they grip their guns
Just robots molded into human form
Innocuous until they swarm
To merge circuits and connect to more
Diseased with beliefs of an unvarying whore

Well, the wired ones pull trigger after clip
Tired ones mulled down; little ones, kids
Then their bodies are beaten into viruses
Intractable until we've dilated irises
Incorrigible, thoughts like a head full of lepers

Well, our thoughts are cancered
Yet it won't go into remission
No, there's always more to kill
Always an enemy we're missing
