I am done with this battle
I grow tired and worn like an old saddle
For me you wouldn't fight
Even when you knew I was right
For me I know you felt love
You just didn't have the strength to wear the glove
So now I rest these tired eyes
My ears don't want to hear your lies
So now I rest my tired mind
You were always a step behind
And now I rest my wounded heart
So that healing may finally start
I feel as though I have been through war
Every part of me is literally sore
If I make it through these days
And come out of this cloudy haze
