descriptions of what feelings are like |
| FEELINGS Good feelings are like cool whipped cream on warm apple pie, or like opening your window on the first day of spring and smelling the fresh air. Bad feelings are like a big red F on your science exam, or losing your balance while going down the stairs. Lonely feelings are like one cheerio in a big bowl of milk, or like watching a group of kids laughing and realizing you're not one of them. Sad feelings are like looking at a pair of green converses at the mall that cost forty-five dollars and looking in your pocket to find only thirty-five. Angry feelings are like hearing the alarm clock at six a.m., or like dropping the cherry dip cone right after you bought it from the ice cream truck. Alive feelings are like the rooler coaster dropping off the highest point, or like swinging so high that you feel like you're flying. Scary feelings are like standing in front of your whole class and realizing you forgot every single word you were supposed to give a speech about. |
