Your smile opens
Like rose petals
Greeting a new day.

Your laugh is soft
And light, brushing gently in my ears
Like ripples across water.

While watching you from far away
I have discovered there is more to life
Than mindless desire
As your face lights up the world.

But you will never know how I feel,
Your absent soul in my memories,
And all I can do is hug myself while
Imitating your body
Warmly embracing mine.
