This poem is about a child who suffers from night terrors. |
| Wakeful child, why can't you sleep? twisting and turning, fighting to be free what holds you in terror while you rest? I see you sleep but your body protest. At times you speak but not to me screaming for them to leave you in peace I wish I knew where you have been so I could be there when it begins I know you sleep in fear each night thinking of all those dreadful sight darkness takes shape in the shadow leaving you restless till the morrow When morning brings its blessed light you come awake with such a fright then realize a new day has begun now, your fear and sorrows are all gone by: Tigress Sinclair |
