What happens when two Nations collide?

What happens when nations collide?
When our petty lives are put aside?
Bombshells crashing in the dark of night
Blinding flashes that mar your sight.

Scenes so horrific it'll test your stomachs might
Seeing if you could make it longer than the first flash of light
Chasing murderous dogs
Who treated others like mere hogs.

Now liberate those poor souls they'd say,
For freedom is heading their way.
But who cares now?
We ask for more time and they reply no how

Why can't we be allowed to succeed?
Where people only care for their own greed
What would a loss bring?
Soon everyone will know because of those who aren't caring

Alas this could carry on for years.
We need a balance of hopes and fears
For when our beloved come home,
We hope they don't need to be re sown.
