Paid Attention

NOBODY NOTICED WHEN I WAS IN PAIN

People think I have forgotten.
People think I don't care anymore
about what you did to me.
If they paid more ATTENTION
then they would notice
my heart still breaking.
Every hour of the day.
The bloody tears
that run down my roses cheeks.
They would see
the fresh marks on my arms
that are still bleeding
because they are so deep.
If people paid more ATTENTION
they would also see
the pain I'm still in
after what you did to me.
I still care.
I haven't forgotten
BUT
nobody cares
Because they haven't even noticed
all the pain I'm still in.
