My First Love

Where did you come from?
You who give me strength and
and hope day by day.
Will I stop running?
and forget feelings that won't go away.
Relationship never got to me, never
understood that whole love thing.
Now I can't believe whats happening
Is this really what it seems?
You touched my heart and you opened my eyes
you made me smile and wiped away my cries
You bring out the best in me.
It's hard to picture you not there,
I gave my heart to you
I set my standards high
I told you my hope and dreams,
my love and fear
I came to see that you were
the only one i could trust.
When we talked i can feel
how connected we are.
In my mind, I say "You don't mean a thing"
In my words, I say "You are just a friend"
but my heart think of only you,
you tell me never to fall short of
what i want.
The meaning of happiness i saw in your eyes,
I love having you close whenever you are near.
You took me by a complete surprise, I knew my
heart was set.
I realize i couldn't run from love
I no longer had to hide you the
one that i wanted.
