Away and Alone

A poem about loneliness in the military

I'm away from home,
and I feel all alone.
Because Im by my self in my room,
Laying on my bed watching cartoons.
Remembering all the fun I had,
Even growing up without a dad.
Now its all work and no play,
Makes me a better man in some way.
