Whispers in Time

Trapped in a black hole! This has won 3rd place.

Here everything is swallowed up
By this gaping, black hole.
Birds that have soared too high have landed here,
and so have I, in this hungry mouse-trap.
The trapdoor is not seen,
no escape at all.
The hungry monster bares his teeth.
Lost in time and space,
a lonely whisper sounds.
Joined by all here,
it sings for freedom and life.
Everywhere and Nowhere
the singing whispers come,
as mine joins theirs'.
