Farewell


It's time to turn and walk away   
Though there’s so much I didn't say.
You know I love you in my heart,
Though the time's come for us to part.

We were as one throughout the years.
We shared the joys, we shared the tears.
We raised our child, we watched him grow
Into the man we love and know.   

And as the years rolled surely by.
I oft-times sat and wondered why
God in his wisdom, gave we two
A life so full, a love so true.

That time’s now gone but let me say,
I know we’ll meet again one day.
Till then my love I leave you where
You will be safe, in the Lord’s care.

I’ll join you when my time is due,
Together we’ll begin anew.
Never again to be apart.
Your love I hold within my heart.
