I think there are times when we all feel like this.

I feel
Heavy
Like a lead balloon.

I wonder
If
I will ever fly.

My head
Swims,
Drowning in deep thought.

I think
I
Will never feel the air again.

My heart
Aches,
Lying broken in half.

My eyes
Close,
Shutting out the sight.

My mind
Sees
What my eyes must forget.

My home
Is
Emptier than I remember.

I hear
Nothing,
But the whir of my computer.

I listen
For
The sound of footsteps.

None come around
I
Sit alone.
