Honoring a Man

This is a poem I created for my Father for Father's Day.

A single day to honor a man.
when he is more then just one.
      He is:
              a Teacher of wordly knowledge
              a Champion of dreams
              a Friend to lean on
              a Hero ready to save the day
              a Philospoher feeding our soul
              a Healer of our pain
              a Signpost showing us the way
              a Rock of strength
              an Inspiration driving us to be better
So many things he is and more.
Therefore I give thanks and say
I declare everyday to be Father's Day
