A poem to my Daughter |
| There is a loving mother that I am honored just to know. A beautiful young woman with four children all in tow. She cooks for all of them, and cleans and folds their clothes. Just ask her faithful fiancé, you can bet he surly knows! She is a home school mom, plus taking classes for herself. Putting selfish wants and needs at the back of a high shelf. He asked her, "Will you marry me?" Just last Christmas on his bended knee. He knows he has a lifelong friend. Compadres, partners until the end. Sometimes they go through struggles, it is a part of life. The way she stands beside him is why he wants her for his wife. I am thankful for the lessons, that a hard life may have taught her. For I know I'll always have the friendship, of my loving Daughter. |
