The Word of God

Religion - real or a myth?

The word of God, is it real or is it fake?
I wonder what I learned and question what I heard.
My mind is torn between right and wrong.
The stories we know, the prayers we say.
The voice of the Lord or a form of control?
Am I losing my faith or appreciating the truth?
Lies and deceit, death and war.
Is it a book of stories or the inspired word of God?
Will we find the truth, time will only tell.
If hope is worth having or life is a painful struggle.
I hate to say it, I must open my eyes.
I do believe in you, but I'm being pulled in two.
So I close my eyes and come what may
There's nothing more to say, we'll find out one day.
