Woman was meant by God to be held by man in partnership, not bondage.
DON’T HURT A WOMAN


Man, do not hurt a woman,
Your fair partner she is.
I gave her to you so she
May bring you my own bliss.

Don’t forget how she was made:
From the rib on your left.
Why did I do so you must
For a moment reflect.

I did not choose your foot lest
She may be walked upon;
Neither from your head lest she
Might take you straight head on.

I made her from your side so
You keep her by your side.
Let both of you walk along
And be each other’s guide.
