Sadness

A poem about sadness.

Sadness comes like a dark cloud,
Silently creeping towards me.
And when it takes its hold of me
All light and goodness is lost.

It feeds on me, tearing me apart
Snatching away every joyful memory
And makes my soul fear
That there is nothing left in life.

But just as I lose all hope
It leaves just as it came.
The dark cloud slowly lifts away
And the joys of the world shine through.

Sadness comes to everyone
Administering its awful curse
But as we all should know,
It will never stay for good.
