To Love

My life doesn't revolve around money or success,
Or fame, or wealth and having excess
Or praise and acclaim and perfect finesse
But people and friends to love.

I don't want clothes or the latest style
And I don't need a perfectly gorgeous smile.
I couldn't care less about a high-class lifestyle
If I have people and friends to love.

I don't need courteous butlers or maids
I don't need weeks to sit and laze
Or months on a beach through warm, summer days
If I have people and friends to love.
