A plea to stop blaming God (and others) for our deeds
God's Turn

Why is it when we kill
We claim to do God's will?
Or when we persecute the lowly
We say our act is holy?

How can we be so sure?
God's on our side in war?
And when we do discriminate
Why put the blame on poor God's plate?

When we hear of famine from abroad
Why do we call it an act of God?
And when we deny our fellow man
Why put the blame on poor God's plan?

There's sure to come a day
When God will have His say
And on us the blame he'll place
Wghen we meet Him face to face
