Ace of the Air

I wrote this almost right after choices..one of my earlier works. A shorter one

The Ace of the Air

My life is in the air
It's up there somewhere
My life is flying in my plane
Up there I wish to remain

Up there in the air I see many things
Villages burning and a bird while it sings
Clouds go rushing by
Up there in the blue sky

One can see from the high places in the air
Wars being fought here and there
Children running out of school at the toll of the bell
And merchants traveling around looking for things to sell

Life is so peaceful in my little world
Nobody to argue with but yourself
Nobody to look after, that's the life
I'm going to stay in the air!
