i know i lied before;
concealed truth, you see
i cannot be the only one
deserving all the blame
about what happened here
and it shall be told

the perpetrator, in the main
was my veep - and i'll explain

on another day, when we're old;
i lost what i held dear
to a vile schemer's game
so i resign - my term is done
you won't have me
to kick around anymore
