a dream of looking out into the night in an old city
While,
as you watch the side walk traffic,

I dreamt
I was in an unknown city,
gray and sad
at first sight,

an old women holds out
small yellow flowers,
no one pays any attention,

the strangeness of things,
speaking to the heart
the most frightening
sound in the world,
but which brings much hope,
and dreams

beating outward,
into space,
unwrapping the secrets
of night fall,

its massage,
of dreams,in signals,
that one can understand,

shall one day
return a faint,
radio tapping
of our window,

and you know,
of coarse,
it shall change the world.
