Battle Song

A short poem about inner battles of the heart.

A flickering spark burning
Deep within my heart
Trying to survive.

Cold winds blowing, churning
Just outside the door
Trying to make it die.

A wavering wall's standing
Between the two forces
Keeping the flame alive.

A hand comes helping, holding
Behind the wall, spark's side
Helping the wall to go on.

Please don't let this fire go out
It wants to keep living on
Please don't let that cold wind win
Wall, keep standing strong.
