Far Away

Found this old poem. Now have a friend that I wish to be more who lives far away too..

I've always said
that long distance
relationships
worked best for me
because of the type
of person I am.

But for once in
my life
I'm feeling too far away.

Never can i remember
missing someone
this much and
I can't recall
the last time
I wanted to see someone
this bad.

And maybe it's good
that we are far apart-
I'm afraid the consequences
would be different
were we closer.

But then I start thinking
and I miss you much more
and I wish you were closer
if only by an hour or two.
